SC notice to Maharashtra, Gujarat, MP on raising dam height
PTI
New Delhi, May 22

Supreme Court on Wednesday refused to stay Narmada Control Authority's decision to raise the height of the Sardar Sarovar dam by five metres but issued notices to Centre, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh on a petition by Narmada Bachao Andolan seeking stay of raising of height on the ground that the affected people have not been rehabilitated as per the Apex Court order earlier.
